Ton Duc Thang University signs Cooperation Agreement with Tuoi Tre Newspaper

On July 17, 2025, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) and Tuoi Tre Newspaper held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Cooperation, aiming to establish and strengthen collaboration across multiple fields.

The delegation from Tuoi Tre Newspaper, led by Editor-in-Chief Journalist Le The Chu, was accompanied by Deputy Editor-in-Chief Le Xuan Trung, department heads, and reporters.

Representing TDTU were Dr. Tran Trong Dao – President of the University, members of the Board of Directors, and leaders of faculties, departments, and centers, who warmly welcomed the delegation and witnessed the signing ceremony

Overview of the session

During their visit, the Tuoi Tre delegation toured several signature facilities at TDTU, including the Inspiration Library, the sports complex, and student dormitories. Speaking at the session, Editor-in-Chief Le The Chu commended the university’s remarkable achievements despite its relatively short history, and expressed deep appreciation for the visionary leadership and dedication of TDTU’s staff to national education and training

The delegation also praised the Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS) and TDTU’s integrated educational model from high school to university level. They suggested expanding communication about VFIS through Tuoi Tre’s successful ongoing series, “Discovering the School”

In response, Dr. Tran Trong Dao emphasized that in the era of digital transformation, it is crucial for both students and lecturers to enhance their communication skills – especially in the realm of digital media. He expressed hope that this partnership would offer practical training and internship opportunities not only for students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities but also for student from other disciplines. “The University highly value this partnership and looks forward to efficient and effective collaboration that will contribute to the shared mission of education and development,” said Dr. Tran Trong Dao.

With over 50 years of commitment to youth development, Tuoi Tre Newspaper has long been an active supporter of education, innovation, and entrepreneurship. Editor-in-Chief Le The Chu stated: “This collaboration not only connects two prominent institutions but also reflects share values in intelligence, innovation, and sustainable development for the community”. He also emphasized that this agreement marks the beginning of deeper, more professional cooperation, promising to generate long-term value.

As outlined in the agreement, both parties committed to implementing strategic cooperation activities in the following areas: Education and Training, Communication and Enrollment, Event Organization and Human Resource Development.

Specifically, Tuoi Tre newspaper will:

  • Collaborate with TDTU on communications for enrollment and career orientation programs through its publications, digital platforms, and events
  • Pprioritize receiving TDTU students for internships, practical training, and editorial office visits each semester
  • Co-organize seminars, talk shows, and short-term training courses on topics such as communication, health, sports, school culture, vocational skills, and job placement

TDTU, in turn, will

  • Invite Tuoi Tre staff and lecturers to teach relevant modules as industry experts
  • Provide conditions for students to complete their Career Practice module at the newspaper
  • Collaborate on scientific conferences and community event that align with both parties’ strengths
  • Support the development of communication skills among TDTU students, faculty and staff.

Both sides also agree to explore and expand cooperation through specific projects and phase-based programs to maximize professional strengths and promote positive values in education and communication

This partnership marks a meaningful milestone and a highlight of TDTU’s communication initiatives. It is expected to open up valuable experiential learning opportunities for students, enhance training quality, and foster stronger connections with the community

In the past, Tuoi Tre Newspaper and TDTU have worked closely during annual enrollment seasons through events like the Admissions Consultation and University Selection Days. Additionally, the 2nd Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament, organized by Tuoi Tre and held at TDTU Stadium in September 2024, was a resounding success
