Shuttlerock is a young advertising agency focused on short format video ads founded in New Zealand in 2011. We are now a global company with more than 300 employees and with offices in New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Berlin, Paris, London, Singapore, Tokyo, Nelson and Ho Chi Minh City. Position: Graphic/Motion Designer

Overview

As a motion designer you will be tasked with creating engaging short video and HTML display ads from assets provided by our clients by adding motion graphics, playful typographic treatments and eye-catching transitions while keeping an exceptional sense of pacing and timing. Ability to work as part of a team is a must since you will be working alongside our sound engineers, 3D designers, team leaders and art directors in each project in order to ensure consistency and the highest quality standards. Our typical turnaround time is faster than most other agencies, with projects typically lasting from just a few days to a couple of weeks

As part of the onboarding process, you will receive training in different areas to supplement your skills and in order to learn our internal processes. If English is not your biggest strength, we will also provide regular English classes. Once your probation period is over, you will also have a chance to enroll for additional training in design, marketing, 3D, and other design related areas at no cost for employees

Requirements

  • Proficiency with After Effects, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Strong design skills and understanding of international creative trends
  • Degree in Graphic Design, fine arts or related experience
  • Ability to communicate, write and read in English. Other languages are appreciated
  • Good at time management and teamwork
  • Understanding process and how to communicate objective feedback
  • Solid knowledge of the diverse social media platforms
  • Great sense for typography and design. (Reinforcement training provided)

Position: 3D/AR Artist

Overview

As a 3D/AR Artist at Shuttlerock, you will create high quality 3D render for products or other assets based on project requirements and client specifications as well as developing an AR experience in Meta, Snap, and TikTok. You should have an excellent eye for composition, photo-realistic rendering and lighting, and a good understanding of model optimization for both rendered and real-time 3D graphics and composting. Interest in researching and testing new technologies, materials and applications. Have an ability to work as part of a team is a must since you will be working alongside our art directors, team leaders, and sound engineers in each project in order to ensure consistency and the highest quality standards. Our typical turnaround time is faster than most other agencies, with projects typically lasting from just a few days to a couple a week.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Blender to create accurate hard surface models and render them with photo realistic materials and lighting to be used in marketing campaigns and advertisement (modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, lighting & materials, animation, rendering, compositing, geometry nodes)
  • Knowledge creating real-time 3D graphics to use in AR and VR (Spark AR, SnapLens, etc…)
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is a must
  • Knowledge of Substance Painter, Unreal Engine, VFX, physics simulations and photogrammetry apps are a plus
  • Familiarity of Gen AI platforms (Midjourney, Gemini, Adobe Firefly, etc.)
  • Coding capabilities in Javascript or C++ are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Adobe After Effects for compositing is a must.
  • Degree in Graphic Design, fine arts or related experience.
