Journey of dedication, marking the mark of TDTU youth in Uncle Ton’s hometown

From July 21 to August 5, 2025, the Summer Volunteer Campaign of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) was held in An Chau commune, An Giang Province. This is an annual volunteer activity within the Youth Union – Association program, demonstrating the pioneering spirit and responsibility of students towards the community and society.

In more than two weeks of activities, TDTU volunteers have carried out many practical projects and tasks related to the practical needs of the locality. One of the typical projects is the implementation of the key youth project “National Flag Route”, featuring hundreds of flags hung along rural roads, which contributes to spreading the spirit of patriotism and creating a spacious appearance for the locality

In parallel with the landscape construction activities, the volunteer team organized the scholarship program “Step by Step to school” for students in difficult circumstances; organized a Children’s festival with many fun and exchange activities; gave gifts to families with preferential policies and poor students who have overcome difficulties; thereby demonstrating the spirit of mutual love of the school’s students

The campaign also organized activities to educate traditions and orient the students’ thinking through the exchange program to learn about the locality, review the revolutionary tradition associated with the two leaders, Ho Chi Minh and Ton Duc Thang. In particular, the soldiers made a journey to the source at the memorial Site of President Ton Duc Thang, contributing to fostering life ideals and arousing national pride in each union member and youth

The activities in the campaign were implemented synchronously, with close coordination with the locality, ensuring the practicality and effectiveness of the campaign. During the campaign, TDTU students promoted the spirited of initiative, not afraid of difficulties, to complete the assigned tasks well. The image of volunteers working diligently in the hot weather, participating in cleaning, repairing village roads, painting school walls, and organizing summer activities for children, left a good impression on the hearts of local people. The Summer Volunteer Campaign 2025 in An Chau commune not only contributes to supporting the locality in social security and community development, but also provides a practical environment for students to practice life skills, raise social awareness, and sense of civic responsibility.
