  5. Job description: The Leadership Development Fellowship (LDF) of Teach for Vietnam is a program to find and develop young people from many different professions. Returning for its 8th season, the program continues to look for factors with a persistent spirit, willing to create necessary change for education through teaching at public schools and implementing community projects in local contracts (Quang Nam, Dong Thap) within two years.

Two essential tasks of the English teaching team combining 21st-century skills:

  • Implement extracurricular classes according to the English program framework of the Teach for Vietnam organization (evaluated by Ho Chi Minh City University of Education);
  • Lead activities in the local community;

With specific orientations as follows:

Objectives of the 21st Century Skills Integrated English Program:

  • Supporting the 2018 General Education Program in developing students from grades 3 to 8 at public schools in rural areas capable of communication in English, through focusing on listening and speaking skills. At the end of the 8th-grade program, students' English communication ability reaches level 2 according to the 6-level Foreign Language Competency Framework for Vietnam, creating a foundation for students to use English in the process of continuing their studies in higher education in subsequent classes and use for work and lifelong learning during the integration period.
  • The English extracurricular program contributes to the formation and development of students' personal and community leadership spirit through  21st-century competencies the formation and development including communication and collaboration, problem-solving, self-study, and qualities such as love and a sense of responsibility to oneself, friends, family, local community, country, and environment; Honest, hardworking, and compassionate.

Building an English teaching ecosystem that integrates 21st-century skills in public schools in rural areas, with the following goals:

  • Develop the ability to teach English communication skills and 21st-century skills to local teachers, and the capacity to orient and deploy English teaching and 21st-century skills at management levels at schools and districts;
  • Increase the participation of parents and the community in 21st-century skills education.
  • Solve local problems learning, to create an environment for students to implement self-directed projects.
  1. Job requirements:
  • Be a Vietnamese citizen. No age limit.
  • Have completed a Bachelor's Program in any major (average score - GPA - minimum 2.8/4 or 7.5/10).
  • Have a diploma before August 2024.
  • Able to use English fluently, equivalent to IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 80, CEFR C1, Aptis level C, or have a domestic C1 certificate.
  • Accompanying the program for two years and working in Dong Thap/Quang Nam

  • Income: 8,100,000 Gross (including social insurance, health insurance & unemployment insurance), support for exam costs for necessary pedagogical certificates to qualify to become a teacher, annual general health check-up, team building, etc
  • 2-year roadmap, recognized by the global education network Teach For All.
