A former student of Ton Duc Thang University - 25 years of return

More than 500 former students of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) from many courses over a 25-year journey returned to the University to meet teachers and friends again in a friendly atmosphere on the occasion of the University's founding anniversary (September 24, 1997 - September 24, 2022).

Speaking at the program on behalf of generations of alums, Ms. Bi Mai Vy - CEO of a market research company alumna of the Faculty of Business Administration (course 12), shared:

"Twenty-five years is not a long time, but it is enough to affirm the stature of a university - the starting place for the ambitions of many generations of students. With a steadfast vision and spirit of serving the cause of education, we see great achievements of teachers and students, from teaching and scientific research to culture and arts and sports. Ton Duc Thang University has written its name on the golden board of leading universities in Vietnam and is making steady progress on affirming its brand to reach out to the region and the world."

For 25 years, many generations of TDTU students have participated in different fields of social life. Each person's success is different, but they all show pride and gratitude towards their teachers and their second home: Ton Duc Thang University.

Mr. Huynh Van De - Director of Dam Doi Electricity of Ca Mau Electricity Company, a former student of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Class of Southern Electricity Corporation, course 1) emotionally said:

"Returning to School on the occasion of 25 years, I am thrilled to meet the teachers again and see the outstanding development of the School. The dedication of our teachers throughout our university years has helped us gain valuable knowledge as a foundation for our current work."

Ms. Ngo Thien Thao - a former student of the Faculty of Business Administration (course 13), currently holding the position of Head of Human Resources and Head of the Quality Department of Virtium Group - Vietnam Branch, shared:

"TDTU is a place that cultivates me into a person with discipline, a sense of responsibility, and thinking ability. After spending time cultivating in the classroom and entering the working environment, I am very confident in my professional skills and always feel proud because the decision to choose TDTU to study was entirely right... Today, I Return with the mindset of a bit of a bird returning to his mother to show how much he has grown and matured thanks to his mother's teachings... I am truly grateful!

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Khang - Director of Marketing and E-commerce, Coca-Cola Group, a former student of the Faculty of Business Administration (6th course), confided:

"Returning to the School on its 25th anniversary, I am very proud to be one of the School's students. I believe in the University's direction and quality of education to be one of the leading universities in Vietnam. We wish the School to take steady steps toward development and train more and more talented people for society."

Advantages of studying at TDTU

Talking about the advantages of TDTU students when participating in the labor market, Ms. Bi Mai Vy said: "Life is a continuous learning process. My time studying at TDTU helped me have a good foundation to start my first job and develop until now. When graduating from TDTU, employers are mostly highly appreciated by employers for their serious attitude, progressive spirit, and confidence based on a solid foundation of professional knowledge."

For Mr. Nguyen Hoang Khang, the advantage of students studying at TDTU is studying in an environment with good teaching quality and modern infrastructure. The unique university culture at TDTU has also created people who are polite, manage themselves well, and possess knowledge of high application value.

Ms. Ngo Thien Thao commented on her experience: "Four years into college, I didn't even notice my changes in time. From a timid and passive student from a small town, I have become a mature, mature, enthusiastic student who is not afraid to conquer new things."

A university's success is nothing more than the success of its alumni. The University's pride also comes mainly from alums because, through them, the community gets the most authentic view of the University's values to society.
